Super grid fill. Neat cluing. Well-themed. Good job, Bluejacket.

A veritable banquet! Brilliant gridfill - especially now I know people don’t just look at 26ds! And great artistry in the clueing- nothing too chewy but all very satisfying. My favourites were 1a, 12a, 25a, 1d, 5d, 16d, 19d! and 22d. Many thanks- a worthy featured puzzle.

Very difficult to construct a grid where the theme covers 15x15 like this - well done! Liked Offal clue - classy using Offa + ironically humorous to give heart as an eg. of offal. The American slant threw me - spelling of chamomile & MIT for a Cambridge University - I struggled with the first but backwards engineered the second. Other stand outs were meat and potatoes - and nutmeg ('soccer trick' perhaps to keep US vibe?) lastly capsicum - enjoyed that with its subtle scientific plural parsing!

Made somewhat easier by the theme - I was able to start slapping entries (entrees?) in without fully understanding some of the parses. But my goodness, what a delectable accomplishment this puzzle is!

Thanks Bluejacket. I don't think I've ever seen a puzzle where every solution was thematic. Quite an achievement!
