Cryptic crossword No 963

Nice puzzle, Filatore. I liked the appearance in the clues of all sorts of references that made it feel very 'connected' to the world. The odd slightly clunky surface but very much in the minority. Favourites included: 12a, 23a, the 2d combo, 3d, 5d, 18d, 21d and 24d. Spoiler in Reply. Thanks. PM
