Cryptic crossword No 905

Good to see you here again Twmbarlwm, and that was great fun to solve (although ultimately defeated by 8A - NHO - and 1D). 9A also a NHO but very clearly clued. Particularly liked 15A, 24A, 32A, 4D, 6D, 25D and 29D.

Yes - it's good to have you back Twmbarlwm. Yes - I enjoyed the puzzle. And Yes - I have an idea of the theme to which you refer. Lots of clever stuff in here and, whilst I did solve and parse the ones that defeated the estimable Coot, I in turn was brought down by 2d which is simply a word I only ever encounter in crosswords. Faves included: 15a, 24a, 28a, 32a, 7d, 21d, 25d and 29d. Many thanks and don't make it so long til the next one. PM

Lovely stuff, Twmbarlwm - enjoyed following the Cryptic Sunday stream of this. A couple I might have struggled with otherwise. Among some very nice clues, faves are 30a, 2d, 25d

Can't say I'm familiar with the theme but thankfully you made it nice and fair for anyone to manage. 1a and the confederate soldier thing in 26a were new to me - I'll have to remember those ones! I especially liked 18d. Thanks again!
