Thanks Hex - I spotted the theme quite late, but it helped me with my last couple! Favourites were 16a, 1d, and 9d. Spoilers in reply

Very enjoyable, Hex. I completely failed to spot the theme but it seems blindingly obvious now I know what it is. Favourites were 11a, 25a, 2d

Thanks for the delightful puzzle Hex, lovely tight clueing particularly your hiddens and anagrams which I found very enjoyable. Had to go back to find all the thematic entries but nicely done there too. Particular favourites were 10a (clean), 16a (very neat), 23a (neat), 25a (likewise), 27a (works for me :) ), 29a (very neat), 1d (smooth version of an old chestnut), 4d (very neat), 6d (neat), 19d (clean) and 23d (neat). Lovely, succinct, fun stuff - well done!

Nicely done Hex with the odd query. You've clearly indicated there is a theme but I'm afraid it says something about my musical tastes (late 60's to early 80's psychedelia and rock) that the names didn't leap out at me. I do recognise most of those in Widders list and agree you've done well to fit so much in. Favourites include: 16a, 21a, 25a, 28a, 4d, 6d, 15d, 20d and 24d with a nice smile to finish off with. Should've been a pigeon with a clue like that. Spoilers in Reply. Thanks. PM
