SPOILERS: 24a (and therefore 15d and 16d) are meant to be like 1a 2d. I.e. they exist in two potential states (two potential solutions) until the solver picks one. I did the best I could with 15 and 16, but I'd love to see if anyone can come up with some more convincing alternatives.
