Cryptic crossword No 77

I wish I could like this more than once. I loved this puzzle. Felt just filled with charming clues that regularly raised a smile. Thank you very much.

Starting to worry I made the theme too subtle...

Very nice, Cormac - quite a gentle one but some good clues. I'll single out 28a, 4d, 6d, 7d, 20d (ha ha!) for special mention. Some of your surfaces could be improved perhaps? (SPOILER.....)

This puzzle is definitely my kind of pace with plenty of anagrams and hiddens, all with lovely surfaces - thanks Cormac. Although having just read your comment, I still can't see the theme - send help!

Thanks Cormac - this was fun! I loved the theme and some of the clues made me laugh (1a, 7d, 20d). Some really nice anagrams too.
