Cryptic crossword No 762

Thanks plumbwizard, some nice clues in here (10a, 28a, 2d) and a bit chewy in other places. Spoilers below...

I enjoyed that! Some wordplay was a bit beyond me (I got everything but sometimes from definitions, crossers and lucky guesses) and I agree with tpg on some slight stretchiness here and there, but overall good fun. 28a is a fantastic spot!!

Funny. I was going to say I think this is better than your last and I just checked back to see I pronounced that one to be the best of yours that I'd done! So it's all going in the right direction, PW. I agree with Henri that 28a is a fabulous spot and so is the one at the other end of the Acrosses - 1a. 13a ditto.
