Cryptic crossword No 65

This is hopefully a slightly harder puzzle than my usual fare. As always, any feedback will be gratefully received!

Great to have this theme! Very nice puzzle with clear clues.

Good stuff - favourites were 3d, 7d, 13d, 16d and 10a. I'm not 100% convinced about "makes" in 15d, it feels more like a link word to me. Also, 22a is very clever to connect Geri to Ginger but I've always felt doubling the wordplay is a little unfair - that's probably just me though! Lovely puzzle with a well-worked theme, thanks abw.

Fun crossword, thanks. Despite your warning I didn't find it too difficult perhaps because I knew the thematic terms. Some very good clues, especially 5a, 21a, 1d, 8d, 13d, 17d and 19d (and I didn't think 22a was unfair). One or two very minor quibbles, eg "no" doesn't really equate to "o" in 9a, the tense in the clue seems wrong in 10a, and maybe it should be "best" rather than "better" in 5d. But nothing to spoil the enjoyment!

Nice crossword - thanks abw! I really liked 2d, 6d, 16d, 25a, 27a. I agree that 15d probably needs an anagram indicator but I was happy with 22a! I enjoyed the theme too!
