What a wonderful grid - possibly your best yet...? Too many favourites to list them all, but I loved 12a, 21a, 25a, 27a, 3d, 6d and 8d.

Lovely stuff as ever, Angel. Don’t know if it’s just me but I found this a bit trickier than some of your previous ones - some cunningly concealed/misleading definitions (exploratory vessels!). Long list of favourites includes 7a, 12a, 14a, 21a, 25a, 1d, 6d, 13d.

A neat combination of gently themed clues and subtle bit of grid construction that makes for a lovely (and touching) puzzle! Most of my favourite clues have already been mentioned, with 21a and 27a being my picks of the bunch, but alongside those I'd like to give shout-outs to the elegance in 3d, the unexpected (to me, anyway) wordplay in 5d, the surface in 9d and the definition in 15d. Thanks for the bit of good fun!

Thanks for the puzzle Angel which kept me entertained while recovering from Covid :D A lovely integration of the theme and satisfying wordplay helped me keep focus while my cognition hasn't been too reliable. I particularly liked 11a, 13a, 14a (lovely construction and nice CD), 19a, 26a, 1d, 3d, 4d (got a chuckle on solving), 9d (neat) and 15d (clean) - nicely done!

A very satisfying puzzle to solve Angel, thanks, with lots of beautifully constructed clues! I managed most of it relatively quickly, thinking what a great Quiptic it would be. And then it turned into a DNF as a result of 21A (new to me) and 17D (my stupidity but would like to use 3 unches as an excuse). Top clues for me were 7A, 14A, 26A, 2D, 4D, 5D, 9D and 22D.

Well, that took me a few visits but I was determined not to be beaten, and bit by bit I chipped away until the end! A satisfying puzzle with some lovely clueing. I especially liked 14a, 21a, 3d, 6d.

Thanks Angel. This was the first time I have used MyCrossword, and I chose this puzzle at random: a good choice. Lovely clues, and I learned a word from 21a
