Cryptic crossword No 525

Thanks, Panthera, this was a lot of fun - and I enjoyed reading your notes as much as I enjoyed solving the puzzle. Learnt a couple of things too - never heard of a “power bottom” before. Favourite clues were 8a, 13a, 14a (I did note the unfortunate “dead lesbian” thing but it’s still a fine clue), 3d, 11d, 24d. And of course the outrageous 12a.
