Cryptic crossword No 477

Thanks Dhansak - good fun and well-pitched towards my modest solving ability. Can’t parse 18A. Favourite clues were: 1A, 11A, 26A, 1D and 13D.

Thank you, Dhansak. Enjoyable puzzle with some brilliant surfaces (the startling 21a in particular). Other favourites included 4a, 12a, 6d, 14d; but there really wasn't a weak point anywhere.
