Cryptic crossword No 467

Hi suka. Nice first try (I think?) at a theme and you've managed a good few references to it. This was quite a chewy one and I have to confess to seeking the occasional bit of help. You've certainly been creative. Favourites include: 10a, 20a (new word for me), 26a, 29a, 14d, 23d (I think your Annotations are wrong on that one). Spoilers in Reply.

Thanks for the puzzle suka! There was a lot of ingenuity in this but I'm not the best setter and had to rely on annotations to fully appreciate everything. I really liked 12a (PM's suggestion to capitalise BH makes it even nicer), 16d and 18d

Thanks suka for an enjoyable puzzle. I found this fairly tricky because of the intricate (and well disguised) wordplay but got there in the end, albeit with the NW corner unparsed. I particularly liked 10a (def. very much fooled me), 26a, 29a, 7d (long, but kudos for "first of his name" :)) and 23d.
