Nice one, Velorum. Compared to Laccaria’s which I tackled immediately before, this was a breeze - but proof that crosswords don’t have to be hard to be enjoyable! Favourites were 8a, 5d, 14d

Very enjoyable, straightforward to solve, but satisfying too. I thought 7D one of the best of that clue type I've seen for a while now. Well done.

Thanks for that Velorum, that was a lovely puzzle. Solvable for a rookie like me which meant I had lots of fun and found many clues very satisfying, particularly 8a, 10a, 13a, 15a (once I'd checked your annotations, was thrown by "one" for a bit), 22a, 23a, 1d (wonderful), 2d (brilliant anagram), 7d (COTD, beautiful), and 17d for making my laugh!

Hi Velorum. Glad to have got round to doing this. I thought this was cracking. As widders says, it went in smoothly but it's one of the most enjoyable I've done in a while. Very smooth, excellent and creative construction with cracking surfaces throughout. Faves include: 8a, 9a, 16a, 18a (big tick), 20a, 22a, 23a, 5d, 7d, 14d (really classy), 17d, 21d (would've been quicker to list the others!). Comment, not complaint, in Reply.

Lovely stuff Velorum, thanks. Just the sort of relatively gentle but fair puzzle that I find satisfying to solve. Loads of great clues, but I’d pick out 8A, 10A, 16A, 24A, 4D, 5D and 17D for special mention.

Lovely puzzle, Velorum - well done! 7d was my favourite too. I solved this on twitch - if you like you can watch/listen to the stream at twitch.tv/contocrosswords - if you do watch it I hope it's interesting/useful.

Thanks for the enjoyment Velorum. As others have said, there’s lots to like here - my standouts were 10a, 11a, 23a, 1d, 2d & 7d and others. A few were more of a stretch with tough parsing, but that gave some good variety in the solving. More please!
