That was fun, Liari. Glad you managed to work in 8d - that old cryptic crossword chestnut 🤣🤣🤣. I smiled at the surface of 1d: that's put us blokes firmly in our place! Ticks included: 10a (absolutely lovely), 24a, 25a (smooth), 1d (despite everything!), 2d, 5d, 6d, 14d (splendid and a great surface), 16d (smooth again). No quibbles from me. 14d my COTD. Hope you don't get sued by the Sussexes for 21a! Thanks for the puzzle.

Lovely stuff, Liari. I enjoyed that. Quite tricky but so precisely clued, it’s just a case of whittling away until it all falls into place. Favourites for me were 10a, 12a, 2d, 7d

Thanks for the puzzle Liari, good fun all round with lovely surfaces and satisfyingly precise wordplay! I particularly liked solving 4a, 10a, 12a, 17a, 21a (hilarious surface), 27a, 1d (excellent), 14d, and 18d - lots of very clever stuff :)

Agree with widdersbel - chewy, but very satisfying as it went in. 12a was my LOI for some reason! Really enjoyed 10a, 12a, and 18d and 7d (I love a good disguise) - and of course 8d, which was a very late entry for me but highly enjoyable.

Thanks Liari, just the right amount of trickiness for a morning solve for me. Lots of fun too, glad to see 8D making an appearance, I was starting to think you'd left them out for once. Double ticks for 10A and 21A both lovely clues. I also enjoyed 1A, 4A, 21A (LOL) 7D, 14D, 19D and 23D. SPOILERS in reply.

A thorough workout Liari, so thanks for that. Particularly enjoyed 9a, 24a, 5d, 20d, 23d among others. A few were a bit too obscure or convoluted for me but always looking to learn how the devious minds of others work!

Excellent work as always! 12a was my "WOW" clue, with 16d, 18d, 19d, 10a a few other loves.

Yay, was fun thank and well met!

Lovely! Especially loved 1d, 10a and 24a. And 8d of course :)

Fantastic stuff all around! Favourites included 12a, 10a, 24a, 8d, 19d... and all of them, really.

Great work Liari, thanks for the puzzle. Really liked 12a, 21a, 24a, and 5d. I learned something new in 16d and 8d.
