Cryptic crossword No 435

Very well put together plumbwizard. Some misleading (in a good way) and creative definitions and some clever wordplay. Favourites include: 8a, 14a, 18a (vg), 24a (ho ho), 28a, 1d (poss my favourite), 5d (nice way to do it), 13d. Minor point with spoiler in Reply.

Excellent job. Particularly good surface reading throughout, eg 23a, and some highly creative definitions.
