A nice start to a Sunday morning, I particularly like 11a, 20a, 1d and 21d (cotd) for the fun surfaces. I went straight in for 9d and then was intrigued about what was hidden in the grid so cracked on... found the answer but unfortunately not familiar with it, I'm too young, just! Other faves 12a, 2d, 26a, 23a, thanks Gennaro

Welcome back Gennaro - with a bang! Great tribute, which I initially expected to be something more trekky. But maybe something more searching, and a treat to look forward to in December. As polished as ever, with my standout clues being 7a, 12a, 23a, 26a, 4d, 17d, & 18d. Many thanks!

Lovely stuff, Gennaro - quite a workout for me but I got most of it. Some superb surfaces in there, among my favourites were 7a, 19a, 23a, 3d, 4d, 8d, 16d and 17d...

My last one in was 9d and so far haven't spotted the hidden 9d but will have another look. Otherwise, I found this pretty accessible thanks to your sound wordplay. My favourites are 1d, 14a, 23a, 25a, 26a, 4d and 24d. Thanks Gennaro. Edit: It was there in plain sight! I was looking for something more tricky in the grid. I'm not familiar with the 9d but had spotted the other part of the tribute.

It feels like forever since your last puzzle, and this one's great. Unfortunately, I have NHO the theme; however, I didn't interfere with the solve in any way. Faves include 12a, 20a, 26a, 2d, 4d, 17d, and 18d. Cheers

Lovely. Off to revisit the 9d and will return later. Thanks, Gennaro.
