Very enjoyable and competent crossword. Good surfaces throughout and nice variety of clues. Liked the mini theme and also 25ac, 3d, 18d amongst others. Last in was cleverly misleading (to me) 7ac. Think the "in" in 4d might be redundant?

Hi Pentman. Really enjoyed this. Quite the workout for me but things started to fall into place when I twigged the theme. As well as your themed entries I really liked 18d, 3d and your audacious definition for 26a!

Thanks Pentman for a well-crafted crossword with my favourites being 8a, 10a, 11a, 25a, 14d, and 18d. I was held up briefly in 7a because I thought 'Al' was 'A-eye', not 'A-ell'! (Nothing can be done about that I suppose.) I failed with 3d and 4d but both clues are airtight so that's on me. Nice accessible and helpful theme as well.

Very nice, Pentman- great work with the theme and some sparkling individual clues. Faves included 17a, 25a (clever), 26a, 3d, 6d, & 18d. I had the same issue as Gennaro with 7a, and also beaten by 4d, but absolutely nothing to grumble about. One of your best I’d say. Thanks!
