Cryptic crossword No 390

Manuia le taeao from Samoa, I hope you enjoy my second attempt at compiling here! I would be very grateful for any feedback as always? I would particularly be interested in any comments regarding the grid design as I think I've improved this compared to my previous attempt! Peace and love, Suka

Greetings Suka. There’s a lot to like about this puzzle. My favourites were 1a, 9a (though the exclamation mark is unnecessary, as in 1d), 11a (these days some would possibly be offended by it, but I found it amusing) , 21a, 22a, 25a, 29a 3d, 7d, 22d, 26d, 27d. [SPOILERS IN REPLIES]

Thanks for this Suka. I enjoyed solving this and thought the grid was very helpful (I’m stuck about half way on your other puzzle by contrast). My particular favourites were 9a 3d 19a 20d and 27d. Some spoilers follow…

Thanks suka - good fun and some really nice clues. I particularly liked 9A, 25A, 33A (despite long def), 3D, 7D and 27D. I’m glad Guava has mentioned initial letter indicators because it means I don’t have to! One or two other minor points in reply but I don’t think these quibbles got in the way of solving the puzzle particularly.
