Thanks Pentman for a smooth and engaging solve. I thought 9a, 14a, 22a, 6d and 22d were particularly good, with other clues in hot pursuit. Beaten by the parse for 12a through lack of specialist vernacular though guessed from crossers. And no quibbles! Cheers.

Lovely stuff, Pentman. I didn't find it too tricky, but enjoyed your concise, vivid surfaces. My favourites included 7a, 12a, 20a, 26a, 16d (took me far too long to see!), 18d and 19d (although do you need "Northern"?). Cheers!
Thanks Pentman for a breezy solve with my favourites being 24a, 26a, 1d, 11d, and 16d. I found all of the wordplay quite clear. Small point: in 23d I think you meant 'Eastern', not Easter.
