Cryptic crossword No 3,807

Could be me, but are your Tuesday puzzles harder than the Monday ones? I failed with 10a, 23a and 24a, though they all seemed good clear clues once I’d seen them. Everything else did resolve nicely in the end, with my picks being 5a, 21a, 22a, 3d and 17d. Thanks as ever Gennaro, I always actively look forward to what you bring to the table.

Today's extra message spoke on my behalf, especially with certain unnamed clues. Lots to enjoy, including but not limited to 6a, 12a (funny), 18's perfect anagrind, 23a, 24a, 4d, 5d, 14d (fun), and 15d. Thanks Gennaro - I'm looking forward to your Unch puzzle as well.

The Nina (which I didn't see until I had completed the whole thing) says everything about a Gennaro puzzle! Some bizarre and amusing pictures conjured here (18a would be a shock indeed) and I loved the misdirection in 19d. Other faves : 13a,23a,24a,8d,14d,15d. Thanks as ever!

I don't think I noticed this one sneak in amongst all the others. Some nice surfaces in this one - as well as a couple of odd ones (18a, I'm looking at you!) And a new word for me in the clue for 9a! Would be a fun one to clue if a tough solution. 24a sums up my world! Thanks. PM

Hi Gennaro, this one also took me longer than usual but that might be partly down to some jet lag! I also didn't spot the nina until the end which is often a help with the corners. Lots of fun along the way though with 6a, 23a & 19d among my picks
