Very fun shtick! I was nearly defeated by 25d and only the special instructions saved me :D Favourites include the clues for the answers in the spaces of 4a, 29a, 2d and 16d.

Really enjoyed this one. Found the instructions right away but still took me a while to figure the gimmick out. 27a my favourite perhaps. Thank you

Enjoyed this very much. Cottoned on quite quickly and then immediately forgot what I was supposed to do. 4a, 2d and 7d my podium for the puzzle. Thanks!

Thanks Henri. A fun concept even though It took me ages to catch on with one of the two being was my last one.

Needless to say, 2d was the last one I got!

Fiendish but lots of fun! Thanks Henri!

Anarchist!

Completely maddening, and as such very satisfying when I figured it out! Fave clues 26A and 7D. Thanks Henri!

Got there, fave 14d, or possibly 14a

Very clever, fiendish, even, very rewarding -very Henri. Faves included 23a and 23d, which was when the light began to dawn. As always, your oblique definitions greatly add to the fun, although I have to say if any 14a/d was ever as described, I'd be alarmed! Other faves: 10a, 21a,27a, 6d,22d

Nicely done. Somewhat nervously, I made my way through, getting a fair amount but encountering things that weren't *quite* etc etc. Then the penny dropped and we sailed serenely to a conclusion. In the context, quite tricky to identify faves. 26a was delightful, as was 27a. 15d is silly but fun and 25d gets the vote for 'most obscure definition for ordinary word I can find in Chambers' 🤣 Thanks.
