Just managed to finish this but had to reveal a few - I guessed the theme but don't know a lot of the answers relating to it and there were a few I couldn't parse, however I enjoyed the constructions and the surfaces. I went straight for 24a and decided the answer was...

Thanks for a difficult challenge, one I enjoyed but did not ace. I did half of this on a plane and the other by a pool, and had to reveal a few. Some favs: 5d, 24a, 8a, 11a, 22a, 7d, and 20d - thanks again!
