Thanks Primus, another excellent puzzle! Not sure how the football fitted with it apart from the timing, but perhaps the same could be said of the match! Lots of clever selections and deletions going on, and plenty of wit in the surfaces and definitions. I had to reveal 26a, so for me that one a bit too clever, but the rest went in nicely with favourites including 1a, 9a, 23a, 24a, 7d, 17d, 19d, 20d (nice def), 22d. Cheers.
