This was good! Nothing too tricky but plenty of interest with well-crafted clues and good surfaces. Faves for me included 10a, 12a, 16a, 21a, 22a (uncommonly clever!), 27a, 5d, & 15d. Thanks! Small query below…

Thanks duncanjwitham for an excellent crossword. I was attracted to the cover photo -- can't pass up a good dram 😄 I was impressed with quality of your surfaces in general. Specific favourites included 9a, 11a, 12a, 16a, 28a, 5d, 7d, 8d, and 19d. I failed with 20d but that didn't spoil the fun.
