Tempted to criticize this as too clever by half, but I can't, because there's too much enjoyable stuff here. The theme smacks you in the face nicely, helping one to 15a a couple of clues. I made life difficult for myself penciling in some wrong answers in the lower left before revisiting it after getting more on the puzzle's wavelength. Another very satisfying offering from you!
