Ha, excellent! Bizarrely I twigged the theme after only two clues (9a and 11a) and yet that only partly helped as some of the later clueing was notably tougher ๐ such very rich theme-work, brava ๐
Hi Angel. First of yours I have done and very enjoyable. That's a theme that takes me back to my uni days. 17a was a favourite. Also 26d which held me up longer than it should have but worth it for the moment the penny dropped.
Thank you, this was really enjoyable. My favourite was 7a - I somehow got the answer straight away, but then chuckled to myself as I mapped it back to the clue. 17a and 20a also really cool. Good mix of toughies and more accessible clues. Great work.

Thanks, Angel - that was a game of two halves for me - the north pretty much all went in on first pass but the south was much chewier. My favourites included 7a, 17a, 23a (took me a long time to work it out but worth it!) and 12d.

Solved this ages ago and have failed to comment until now. Very nice indeed, thanks Angel, and impressive theming albeit not one that I know anything about. 15d my favourite.
