Well Guava, some things here you might not use in your day job! But what a wonderful June 5th commemoration - only appreciated after the event I’m ashamed to admit. And some free alternative clues! I really enjoyed it, with a special mention for 11a (nice misdirection), 15a (double doubler), 23a (tricksy double-duty), 2d, 4d, 6d &13d (but not because they’re naughty!) & 14d. Thanks.

Great stuff, very nicely worked throughout. Standouts: 10a, 2d, 4d, 5d, 9d and 13d (CotD! 😆)

Thanks Guava for the fun. Despite a couple of head-scratchers most of this slipped in quite nicely with my favourites being 7a, 10a, 2d, and my COTD, 13d. Any intended theme was beyond my orbit!

A doozy of a puzzle, but a lot of cleverness to appreciate! Really liked 12a, 23a, 2d, 6d, 14d, and 19d.

Nice to see you here again Guava and a typically thoughtful - and thought-provoking - puzzle. I was unaware of the anniversary so did not spot the theme I'm afraid but, once enlightened, I very much enjoyed some of the surfaces here. 7a, 8a, 20a, 26a, 9d, 13d and 21d are my faves. Thanks. PM

Thanks Guava. I'm ridiculously late to comment having solved this last week! Very good and a nice theme albeit one that sailed over my head as per. 22d my favourite.
