Wow Cricket, what an incredible achievement with the theme! 18 theme words is a lot - scary that it’s 18 out of 1000+! Overall I think the puzzle passed the test too, with some very nice clues including 1a, 4a, 10a, 5d, 14d, 18d. Thanks for the educational entertainment!

Watching Ouroboros stream it on Twitch and making a few notes here and there :) love 16a, flows very nicely. 12a not a happy word in chambers, btw (not in the sense of your def, anyway). Love the reference in 27a – probably should be a capital B for Brain? 22a very neat. 8d is nice. I think a ? and "perhaps" both do the same job, so you would be within your rights to just pick one (if you wanted). I'll stop there but also enjoyed 22d, 25d, 1a, 10a, 5d… thanks again!
