Cryptic crossword No 3,492

Thanks Pentman, this was a good level of difficulty on a hot day! Some very nicely written clues, my particular favourites being 10a, 13a, 30a, 2d, 5d, & 9d. In 21a I couldn’t get beyond the wrong composer but thought it a brilliant clue once revealed. And 8d beat me by the first definition not being in my lexicon. Some minor further reflections…
