5d and 14a - brilliant. All was really nice - can't wait for the next one!

Thanks for a fun puzzle Velorum - not too tricky, which suits me! Particularly impressed with some of the anagrams. Cue debate over the “synonym” used in 7D....

One very minor quibble in reply to Coot, but otherwise this is brilliant. Favourites were 9a, 11a, 25a, 3d, 5d, 8d, 15d. Two things I’ve learned in 15d and 22d. Thanks, Velorum.

Nice one, Velorum. 5d is the pick of the bunch here for me. Also liked 17a (funny) and the nice definition in 3d. Spoiler in reply...

Some learnings for me, also, in 15d and 22d plus 5a. I liked amusing surfaces of 17a and 23a. Other likes include 11a, 18a, 26a, 5d (COTD). SPOILERS IN REPLY
