Cryptic crossword No 3,183

Second time posting here, as always more than happy to receive any constructive feedback from solvers. I'm a bit less pleased with this overall than my first attempt and while there are some clues I'm proud of, I perhaps should have listened to old advice to drop clues that make bits of the grid harder to set.
