Cryptic crossword No 3,101

Wish I’d set this! Really nicely done Kempley. The keyword is so versatile and, of course, relevant to your craft. Some very clever cueing with lovely surfaces. I’m not even going to mention any almost imperceptible eyebrow movements. Especially enjoyed 5a, 10a, 15a, 27a, 1d, 3d, 7d, 8d (worth the change!) and 18d. Thank you!

Thanks Kempley for an impressive bit of setting. I figured out the missing word with my FOI so that made the solve easier. Favourites included 15a, 14d, 20d, and 24d but the real star was in the clue construction.
