A nice of difficulty levels and some very clever wordplay. Faves 13a, 26a, 3d and 8d

Thanks LeoNessie for a very satisfying crossword. My top picks were 12a, 13a, 19a, 25a, 2d, and 3d. I eventually revealed 4d, a clue I should have solved. I needed your notes to understand 16d which I guessed correctly. More in reply.

Thanks LeoNessie for the fun challenge. Very nicely constructed clues because, while I did get stuck in a few places, in most cases I could clearly see the wordplay but just not bring the required synonym to mind. My favourites were 12a, 19a, 25a, 3d, 8d and 21d.
