Cryptic crossword No 3,031

Thanks for the fun puzzle, Drumcraft, which I really enjoyed - there are some lovely ideas on show here. If you like you can watch/hear me solve this at twitch.tv/contocrosswords ... During the solve I got quite 'into it' and there was lots of thinking out loud on the clues as I solved - I hope that doesn't come across as being overly critical. Overall I really enjoyed this, with special mentions for 4d, 21a and 23d. Thanks again!
