Cryptic crossword No 3,027

Eased me nicely into the day. Thanks! I thought everything worked technically with some good surfaces to add to the attraction. Luckily nothing too hard as there were no notes to refer to. (Personally I think preparing annotated solutions is helpful for setter as well as solver.) My pick of the bunch would be 12a, 22a, 28a & 24d. More thoughts below…
