Cryptic crossword No 3,024

Thanks Sisyphus for the challenge. I enjoyed what I could solve but eventually revealed a handful. 2d & 15d were complete unknowns to me but I did enjoy clues like 17a, 21a, 1d, & 7d. More in reply.

Thanks Sisyphus, I enjoyed the challenge of this. There are lots of very clever ideas in here, which is a great sign. And I fared considerably better than with your previous one although I still had to reveal quite a large chunk of the right hand side. My favourites were: 21a, 28a, 7d and 13d. I did enjoy 1d as well but really double-duty is to be avoided! Spoilers …
