I enjoyed that a lot! Some v clever surfaces and neat word play. Especially liked 4a (LOI), 12a,22a,27a and 3d,8d (what a story in that surface!), 16d,23d - another cracking surface/&lit (?)

Hi Kempley, couldn't find time over the holidays to finish this until now, but thanks for the fun puzzle. Lots of neat stuff in this one. Great meta touches throughout -- I thought 21d worked particularly well. 4a was another standout clue for me. Otherwise I really enjoyed 1a, 13a, 22a and 19d. A bit more elaboration in reply
