Thanks Patanoia & welcome to MyC. This might be your 1st crossword on this site but I'm guessing it's not your 1st ever. I enjoyed clues such as 13a, 27a, 3d, 7d, 16d, & 19d. A few pointers in reply.

Well now, Pat! This is a treat -- and I just knew you'd produce a top quality crossword, which this is! I thought 1dn was really clever, and 19dn reminded me of something Paul could have written. ;). Looking forward to the next one! Thomas A.

This was enjoyable, my particular favourites being 12a, 15a, 27a, 2d, 7d, 10d. Some comments in reply; but one point that's worth noting is that the grid you have chosen is a good one for the solver - plenty of initial letters, and no lights with a majority of unchecked letters. (The Guardian has been annoying people lately with unfriendly grids).
