Cryptic crossword No 2,807

Tough as usual though I got through it bar 10a and 7d - though I only got 8d having revealed 10a. I see you have plastered Chambers citations all over your annotations: anyone would think you were expecting to be challenged by solvers ... Some challengingly imaginative indications as per but, let's face it, you're not out to give your solvers a gentle ride, are you? Some of the surfaces were good fun and faves inc 12a, 15a, 19a (tho I did not have the GK), 23a, 27a, 5d and 17d. Thanks. PM
