Cryptic crossword No 28

Nice work. I thought 9, 12, 14, 25, 5 and 6 were all very neat.

Thanks Gradgrind - some nice ones in here. Particularly liked 1d and 14a and the surface on 6d is lovely. Couldn't quite parse 17a or 27a.

Thanks Gradagrind! I found this tough, but impressive. I needed your comments to parse 17 and 27, though still can’t parse all of 18D. My favourites are 6D and 16D, both of which I think are fab - well done!

Lovely crossword, thanks! 15a, 14a, 22a and 6d were my favourites.

Tough but enjoyable, my favourites being 9A, 11A, 19A, 2D, 5D, 13D and 24D. Some lovely surfaces, too many good ones to list. Didn't get 1D, about which I'm kicking myself, and couldn't parse 25A or 18D; but while it took me a while to get there I thought 27A was perfectly fair.

I enjoyed that - 14a was my favourite.
