Cryptic crossword No 2,718

Really enjoying this so far, starting with the first clue I read (2d) and of course 6d. Just wanted to let you know and will follow up with details when/if I finish the puzzle. Thanks.

Oof, I found this quite tough in parts, but very satisfying to tease out the trickier ones, and some nice penny drops. Tripped up by a couple of NHO words (23a, 13d) but only revealed the former, getting the latter through trial and error. In I particular liked 1a (great surface), 14a, 15a, 7d, 22d and 24d.
