Special Instructions: 4d uses what I think is a novel device that I've played with once in a previous effort - I'd be interested in feedback on whether it's a fair thing to do or not, as well as any other constructive feedback of course!

Some clever tricks in there.. from the gentle CD of 20d to the tricky wordplay of 11a (which eluded me). I didn't mind the idea of 4d, but I think perhaps it would be fairer if the indication was more explicit. Maybe I'm just being a bad sport because I didn't figure it out! :) I enjoyed eventually nutting out the big anagram. Loved the apt fodder for 12a but not sure about overall format of the clue.
