I'm apologising in advance for one clue, I'm sure you'll be able to pick it out. An explanation is in the annotations.

Thanks Blah, that’s just about right for me stretch-wise. Particularly liked 12a, 15a, 27a, 6d, 7d, 14d, 26d & 27d. Rogue apostrophe in 7d, and possibly 12a. The dodgy one quite forgivable - always something new to learn!

Thanks Blah - good fun. Quite a range of difficulty I thought. I got particularly held up in the NE corner. I tended to prefer the more straightforward clues, e.g. 12A (apostrophe fine IMO), 13A, 22A, 19D and 23D. Couple of minor spoilery niggles in reply.

Nice one, Blah, this was good fun. I twigged the theme with about half the letters filled in - very good! Several favourites to mention - 18a, 22a, 26a, 2d, 7d, 21d - all for different reasons, showing nice variety of clueing style.

Thanks Blah, I enjoyed this, although thoroughly failed to spot the (very smart) grid, which would have helped towards the end... Favourites were 24d, 16d, 18a, and 27a. Others have made the comments I would have, so I'll just add a little in a reply.

Another lovely puzzle Blah! I am being exceptionally slow and still have not twigged the theme... NW corner was the last to fall, and I learnt quite a few things on the way, so thanks additionally for that. Particular favourites were 12a, 20a, 25a, 27a, 1d (fun!), 7d, 26d
