Thanks Umpire. Once I got on the right wavelength there was lots I admired. Special mention to 25A, which I think is a lovely clue.

Nice puzzle with sound clue construction. Favourites were 25a, 9d and 13d. Cheers Umpire!

Good puzzle - good level of difficulty and some well crafted clues. I was fooled by 9 down for a while!

Thanks Umpire. I particularly liked 12a, 9d, and 16d, and was delighted to solve 24a!

Thanks Umpire, very enjoyable. Favourites were 24a, 9d and 16d. 23d was initially lost on me but google helped to enlighten me.

Some lovely surfaces and some v. clever clues, my favourites being 8A, 1D, 16D, 23D and the brilliant 9D and 14D. I couldn't parse either 19A or 25A. It's a pity the site doesn't allow the setter to post notes in the fashion of the Azed Slip, because I note others really like 25A

Nice work Umpire, fairly gentle. Liked 6d and 25a (once I worked out the difficult parsing). Also a tick for 16d, except that I think it should be 'evenly' not 'oddly'. Just that minor quibble.

I liked that - 24 is very good!

Hello Umpire, not sure if you’ll see this but thought I’d give this one a go! Good fun! I really liked 24a and 12a. Other favourites were 25a 11a 4d and 7d
