Cryptic crossword No 2,574

Hey SwanseaJack. As a new creator, I must say I think you're doing brilliantly. I enjoy doing your puzzles - not too easy, not too hard for another relative novice like me. As I said I am also fairly new to cryptics but everything I am seeing seems very good (maybe someone more advanced could give more feedback)! The only thing I would say is that sometimes your clues seem to sort of give away what the definition will be (I do the same!), such as 1a and 11a, with 'leading to' and 'revealing' ...

Sort of giving it away a little. Also, some of the clues are quite long, and it is a big skill to make clues more concise (and I am very much still working on that too). With that said, that is nit-picking and I think it is brilliant! Maybe next try more adventurous clues/types of clues. I really like 27a by the way. From what I can see it all seems very conventional. Great job!!!

A lot of fun! Faves include 17a,19a,24a (very neat indeed) 27a, 15d, 20d. Keep them coming!

Well I enjoyed it. Lots of good clues with smooth surfaces. My favourites were 11a and 17a. Some minor quibbles in the reply.
