Haha, great fun and I even spotted *something* quite early on that helped hugely! Particularly liked 1a, 11a, 20a, 27a and 7d. Minor observation in reply -> Thanks!

Very good, thanks Meles. Enjoyed lots of really nice touches in here, my favourite being the fabulous surface in 30a. (Ans: no, he wasn’t). Other picks: 1a (great def), 11a, 29a, 6d, 7d and 24d. Spoilers …

Since this is a late celebration of your 50th, it is appropriate that I am late to it! I almost missed it as it came out last weekend and there was a flurry of other activity. Glad I did it - enjoyable as always. Faves inc 1a, 12a, 20a, 30a, 5d, 7d and 21d. Thanks. PM

I loved this the day it came out Meles, so apologies for forgetting to register my appreciation for a delightfully tight and creative puzzle. Faves included 1a (very fun), 11a (neat), 18a (smooth), 20a (lovely construction and def), 30a (great surface), 2d (neat), 5d (cracking, I'd have been delighted to come up with this one), 10d (clean), 17d (clean) and 24d (neat)
