Cryptic crossword No 2,447

Thanks ahhlisten and welcome to MyC. If this is indeed your first foray in setting cryptics it's a most impressive debut. I really found nothing to 'quibble' about & I enjoyed so many of your surfaces. My favourites were 11a, 13a, 20a, 26a, 4d, 5d, and 16d. If you're not using clueclinic.com do so --- it makes setting much easier. I also recommend starting a dialogue with a few of the top setters on this site by solving & commenting on their work. Welcome and thanks for the very enjoyable puzzle! I was going to say that this can’t be your first and then I read your reply to Gennaro 😁 There are some lovely surfaces here, and that’s one of the hardest things to get consistently good at I think. And quite accessible overall, though the NE corner held out longest. My clue of the day: 16d - I’d love to see a droid ballet 😆 … if you’re in the market for some constructive critique, I do have a few observations in the reply. Thanks again!
