Cryptic crossword No 2,392

I did not make it all the way despite several sessions, but I wanted to say I thought 10a was brilliant, more nuanced than it seems on first glance - bravo! Others I liked included 12a, 23a, 25a, 2d, 6d , 15d. I only got 8d from checking letters, but what a term! Thanks ozpiper!

Thanks Ozpiper for a very good crossword. My top picks were 11a, 18a, 3d, 5d, 6d, and 8d. I guessed, but couldn't parse 19d. Overall I was impressed with the succinct surfaces. One quibble in reply.

I found this quite tricky, OzP. Some cunning arrangements misdirected me. I did have to use Google to find the solution to 8d. Faves inc 12a, 18a, 25a, 1d, 16d. Thanks. PM
