Lovely crossword, thank you. I did not have all the requisite GK but the wordplay provided enough guesses to look up. Many favourites, with special mentions to 24a, 27a, 2d (great surface), 9d, 25d

I missed Cryptic Sunday and therefore the airing of your puzzle, Dino. Sorry to take a while to get to it but I've had my own projects. Glad I did though; plenty of nice touches throughout. 19a my LOI and slightly trickier construction. Everything else seemed fair enough with 1a, 23a, 29a, 1d, 5d, 6d, 17d and 25d being my faves.
