Cryptic crossword No 2,135

Thanks for the fun puzzle, Chracol, which I enjoyed, especially 13a, 23a, 'Doctor, doctor' and 'Le Pen'...If you like you can watch/hear me solve this at twitch.tv/contocrosswords. We got into pedantry mode at times - sorry about that - but we end by saying nice things - if you do watch/hear it I hope it's useful. We couldn't quite work out the definition of 16d - annotated solutions would have been useful for that. Thanks again!

Hi chracol. Catching up with a few I've missed of late and, after your kind comments, felt I should look at one of your recents. To my shame, I don't seem to have commented much since your debut! There is plenty of solid cluing in this - I'd say there's still a little work to do on surfaces but many here were fine. Podium is 12a (despite the length!), 20a, 22a and 14d. Thanks. PM
